Karen Rae Kaltenborn Nothstein

Karen Rae Kaltenborn Nothstein earned a BFA in Producing with a minor in Screenwriting from Emerson College before beginning her career in Hollywood. After several years in the studio system she returned to Oslo, where she worked on high-profile Norwegian television productions such as Lilyhammer and Occupied, as well as recent films including TROLL, TROLL 2, Quisling: The Final Days, and Kraken.

Karen divides her time between Los Angeles and Norway, working as a creative producer and writer on multiple film and television projects. Having spent her life equally between the United States and Norway, she has cultivated a unique understanding of both Scandinavian and American culture. This dual perspective has proven itself to be highly valuable in bringing Scandinavian film and television to the international market.
